Messages to The Missed
You are invited to take part in this exhibition through a quiet act of love and remembrance. This box is a place to leave words for what is gone but still deeply felt, someone you miss, something you’ve lost, or a part of yourself that you no longer hold but still ache for. It might be a memory, an object, a pet, a relationship, or even a moment in time. Whatever it is, if it still tugs at you in the quiet hours, you may put it in the box.
The box is sealed and will never be opened. Only a narrow slit lets your messages fall inside, where they will rest unseen. When this exhibition ends, the box will be burned, carrying every letter as smoke and ash to the places we cannot reach but still hold in our hearts. This ritual will be documented, not as an ending, but as a gesture of devotion, a way of saying: you are still with us, you are not forgotten.
This is an act of honouring not letting go, not moving on but acknowledging the beauty of our grief, the memory of our love, and the way absence carves a space inside us where that love still lives.
